Dr. Jans, an experienced refractive surgeon has been performing laser surgery since 1991. He began doing the procedure known as LASIK in August of 1998 when the safest, and most technologically advanced microkeratome was introduce. Since this time, the majority of refractive surgery performed at our Centre is the LASIK procedure.

As the graphs illustrates over 78% of our patients achieve 20/30 or better uncorrected visual acuity at the one week post operative visit, and 89% achieve 20/40 or better.

At one month 91% of our patients achieve 20/40 or better uncorrected visual acuity, noting that 44% of those patients achieved 20/20 or better and this is only at one month post operatively.

At six month post operative 95% of our patients achieved 20/40 or better uncorrected visual acuity
