| Post-op LASIK Surgery
With LASIK surgery there is really minimal discomfort or pain post operatively.
You may experience some slight scratching or roughness when you blink or it may feel like an “eyelash” in the eye. This is only due to the flap edges, which usually settle in the over the next 24 hrs. We still place the contact lens over the flap, just for protection and your comfort.
The contact is removed at your first post operative visit. With the removal of the contact lens you will experience the scratching or roughness as people with the PRK procedure do. Your vision is quite good at 1 day post op and you will notice a large difference from your pre operative visual acuity.
Over the next week your vision will continue to become more crisp and your eyes will be quite comfortable.
