LASIK - Laser in-situ Kera

Laser in-situ Keratomileusis is a procedure used to correct or reduce low to moderate levels of myopia and hyperopia with or without astigmatism.Laser in-situ Keratomileusis is a procedure used to correct or reduce low to moderate levels of myopia and hyperopia with or without astigmatism.

In LASIK, Dr. Jans combines the use of a microkeratome (specialized high-tech blade) to create a thin flap of tissue from the center of the cornea, and the Visx S4 Excimer Laser to alter the shape of the cornea. When the laser correction is complete, the flap is replaced without the need for sutures.

Dr. Jans has incorporated LASIK into his surgical methodology for dealing with refractive errors surgically.
